Peach Pickin’ Mamas play to sold-out crowds!

Last summer EG Kight and Lisa Biales teamed up to form the Peach Pickin’ Mamas. And just a few weeks ago, they wrapped up a tour of Indiana and Ohio, playing to several sold-out audiences.

From a country club, to a house concert, to a Performing Artist Series, to a theater inside a premier arts facility, EG and Lisa took their musical montage to audiences in Indianapolis, Attica, Portland and Oxford.

Taking turns performing songs from their own collections, and meeting in the middle with vocal duets, the Peach Pickin’ Mamas filled the room with amazing harmonies, powerful songs, and playful banter. And the audiences seemed to eat it up, pleading for more, with standing ovations…

When asked what it was like on this tour, Lisa said “EG started singing ‘At Last’ and I got all choked up. Sitting right next to her I had the best seat in the house. She is amazing. We were so in sync with our performance, like we could read each other’s thoughts about singing a song. The biggest thrill is playing double leads together, always different, and always so fun to play.”

And EG commented “It’s a wonderful experience to share the stage with Lisa. Her voice is so clear, strong and beautiful that it brings a Memphis Minnie, Bessie Smith  ‘old-timey’  freshness to the stage. And her harmony is absolutely amazing. She’s such a joy to work with!”

Needless to say, The Peach Pickin’ Mamas are having the time of their lives, traveling around, taking their music to various venues.

According to Marg Henry, the host of one of the recent events, “EG’s wonderful! And great guitar player as well. She and Lisa put on such an exciting show, funny as hell, so responsive to the audience.”
